July 7, 1991 Sports Special section from the Miami Herald Newspaper covering the plans and dreams for the Florida Marlins baseball team.  For a 42 year old newspaper, it is in remarkably good condition.  Not too tan from aging.  No torn pages.  No writing.  No insect damage.  As you can see in the last photo, it has been folded in thirds probably for all 42 years.  The Marlin's first game was in 1993.  They played the LA Dodgers and won 6 to 3.  This newspaper section has a great article about Wayne Huizenga titled "How S. Florida Got A Baseball Team".  Another great story on the back page is about the Marlin's fantasy team roster.  Many other aspects of forming a new team.  Did you know that a proposed team name was the Florida Manatees?
